Signs & Symptoms

Ovarian Cancer has been known as the "silent killer" because of the lack of symptoms. More recent research indicates that several signs that develop may suggest the disease is present. The list of smyptoms are:

  • Bloating

  • Pelvic or abdominal pain

  • Difficult eating or feeling full quickly

  • Urinary symptoms, such as urgency or frequency

Listen your body. If something doesn't feel right, it's time to go to your gynecologist! If you feel that there is a chance you have ovarian cancer, ask your doctor for a CA-125 blood test, a pelvic exam, and ultrasound. Sometimes, doctors don't offer these tests unless you ask. Be your own best advocate and ASK!
